Recently I've been at home on the mend from arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder. Two reasons for this: 1. I was hit by a car last year and some of the damage done was only fixable with surgery. 2. I've decided to make the transition from human to cyborg (and then possibly from cyborg to full-on terminator... I'll see how I feel).
Luckily, the surgery was on my left side, so when I'm not passed out I've been able to work on this little fall-themed tapestry (I'm not sure why alpacas scream "autumn" to me, but they do). And if you're thinking, "I thought you were going to finish the spider embroidery first!" I pretty much did. I want to do a little more detail work on it, but I REALLY needed to start something new.

your embroidery work is really fucking impressive.. these are amazing!
You're a freakin' genius with that needle, Jenn. Holy crap. (That spider is adorable.)
I
like
big
abdominal segments and I cannot lie...
Seriously, glad you're on the mend, and quite obviously able to render computer-perfect embroidery. Assuming that proto-Terminators are programmed with such skills...which they probably are in case the only available method of killing someone is via stitchery.
these are amazing!
Wow, thank you guys so much! I was unsure of this new direction I've been taking, but to hear that so many people are enjoying it gives me a lot of confidence to keep going with it :)
So glad to see the spider finished, it's wonderful! The alpaca looks great too. Hope your recovery goes well.
Keep going! Love that spider ~ really!!
Cool to see that you finished it and it looks good!
