Circus Pug Fabric: You Can Has!

 I'm back from outer space!

So the deal is: I finally got my act together and ordered a test swatch of my Circus Pug fabric from Spoonflower. It arrived last week, and I am EXTREMELY happy with the results. SO, I've decided to make it available for purchase! So, if you're one of those people who was asking me if it was for sale, the answer is now YES!

But that's not all! I've been working on a bunch of different fabric designs (and yes; some are Star Wars-themed, so brace yourselves). Spoonflower lets its users set up their own Etsy-style online stores, so this will now be available in MY Spoonflower store (which I am currently calling Clever Girl Studio, but reserve the right to change should I feel so inclined). It also has a very nice feature where you can create collections; little collections of your fabric designs that go together. Right now, Circus Pug is the only one in my store, but I'm ordering swatches of at least 4 other designs (they don't let you sell your designs until you've ordered test swatches) that I'm working on collections for.

My vision is that people will be able to order the fabrics that go together and make quilts with them. At least that's my vision for me. I guess people can do whatever the hell they want with my fabric designs, but quilts were what inspired me.

My only complaint is that Spoonflower only gives the fabric designer 10% commission. That means that if you buy a yard of the design at $20, I only get $2. Maybe I'm being petty, I don't know what costs go into printing fabric on their end, but that rate seems kind of meager to me.

Anyway, if you end up buying some of my fabric and making something with it, I hope you'll share pictures!

Try Archival Arts down in Baltimore, as they are a bit more affordable, super high quality, and basically some of the nicest folks in the industry.

Their site doesn't list Fabric printing yet, but give Jeff a call and he can tell ya all about it.
The stuff I've seen is amazing!

Want some help licensing?? By the way, I'm going to show this fabric to Barbara today, so you'll probably be sold out by this evening.
